Briar Ross

Briar who came to jazz later in life, now lives on Waiheke Island Auckland and performs and organizes events on the Island regularly.

She has made four CDs and recently performed at the Samoa International Jazz and Blues Festival and also the Fiji Jazz and Blues Festival.

She sings smooth jazz standards and ballads in the style of illie Holiday and Dianna Krall. Briar has been described as the “mistress of the torch song” and as a “largely undiscovered gem”.
